Our Peer Counselors are mothers, fathers, family members and friends of people who have experienced a high risk pregnancy or child in critical care.

What has been your experience?

Parents Reaching Out volunteers provide routine weekly family visits at one or more of the greater Nashville Neonatal Intensive Care Units: Baptist Hospital, The Women's Hospital at Centennial, and Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. All volunteers must complete the hospital's volunteer training on hospital policies, as well as Parents Reaching Out Peer Counseling training. Both trainings must be completed prior to initiating peer parent visits.
